Featured Storyteller
After spending some time at arts festivals, I found that many of my customers were interested in more than just the images I had captured. They wanted to know about locations of shots, history of subject matter, etc. I decided that I would create a series of “story cards” that would go on display with particular images, for which I had a “story” of sorts that I could share. These images have come to be my biggest sellers and my customers’ all-time favorites. Storyteller images and their stories, found below the image, will be shared here. I hope you enjoy them!
Story Card:
I was out for an evening of folktales and storytelling at the Orkney Storytelling Center when this shot was captured. Walking up the drive to the location, I heard a noise off to the side of me and when I turned to look, this is the precious furry face I saw. Of course I laughed, but was lucky enough to compose myself, grab my camera and take the shot before she pulled his head back through the cat door.
Some years later, Mom and I returned to the storytelling centre and learned that Darby had crossed the rainbow bridge. The lady who owns and operates the centre, was Darby’s grandmom. She shared with us that Darby had been found as a stray in Edinburgh. When her daughter came up to Orkney to visit, she brought Darby along. Darby loved the wide open spaces so much, it was decided that she’d live with her grandmom from that point forward.

Ta-Da! We Finally Have a Website!
Hiya! We've finally made our way online. I've been asked many times if I had a website, and I am just tickled pink to be able to say that we do! Now... why would I post a blurry picture like this as my first blog accompaniment? If you know me, you'll understand...

This little café has a menu full of delicious things to eat and drink and is a favorite of local artists, as they offer us a commission free place to show and sell our work.
Please pop in for a bite to eat and to take a look at my photography. I’d be honored if you spent a little time with my images and deeply appreciative of your patronage.
